This information is required for the making of your kilt. This is the only information that the kilt maker has to work from. Please use a good quality fabric tape measure (not a metal tape) and a good quality yard stick or carpenter's rule. Your kilt will be made of the best materials, please use quality tools to measure.

Where and How to Measure:

LENGTH; Measure kneeling on a hard surface floor. Kneel in an upright position with knees 2" apart, look straight ahead or slightlty up-ward. Do Not look down. With a wooden yard stick (or carpenters rule extended to approximately 36") place the 0" end between the knees and measure to the navel.

SEAT; Measure around the seat at the widest place, this may take a few measurements. Make sure nothing is in the pockets of the clothing you are wearing. Make sure tape is not twisted.

WAIST; Measure around your waist at your navel, snug measurement standing relaxed. Do Not suck in or push out stomach. Do Not measure over bulky clothing. Make sure tape measure is not twisted.
